Hero Journeys

Whether or not we realize it, the "hero's journey" is a story with which we are all familiar. While its origin is rooted in old myth narratives, its pattern is ubiquitous and relatable. In many ways we are, each of us, on our own hero's journey at one point or another. My work as a photographer, community artist and fundraiser is guided by this belief and so I look for the heroes in every story I tell. The images here are simply snippets of much bigger stories from organizations whose missions and visions are equally meaningful and heroic.
